Today the army of the 12 Gritos, and among us especially Psychogrito and  King Negrito, are very happy to inform you that the live performance of this weekend was a real success!

In fact we had been invited by the exquisite boss of the French magazine "Happen" to participate to the third anniversary of this magazine dedicated to the arts and nightlife animation in ffice:smarttags" />Bordeaux.  Of course we were really happy to participate and had a few ideas about how our participation should look like. Would we bring in a ton of chocolate and melt it under the warmth of the spotlights? Would we empty fifty bottles of Cheval blanc in a plastic pool and swim in it? Maybe it was a better idea just to hand from the ceiling and let peanuts fall on people heads?

You know the Gritos, it tooks us a while to come to an agreement, which, at the end of the day was quite simple and efficient. We must admit that we were not the only one, that was all the spirit of this “Happenodrome”  (in French landing ground for happenings) and for instance the birthday party started by a dance exhibition from the Compagnie Strap, which involved twin dance from two guys on a music played by only two musicians.

After that there was a short mix by Rotten, based on cool bands like Noir Desir or Einsturzende Neubauten - even though I still do not understand what they exactly say in the songs and why there and strange noises of slashes-  and then came live a very interesting rock band “Les Bas d’Anselm” (Anselm stockings in English) who played a mix of Rock and jazz and bizarre music. The singer, dressed in black was like inhabited by an agitated daemon and the guy who blown the trumpet looked like John Galianno himself, while the drummer seemed coming right out from a serial killer movie…

That is not music for the masses as used to say Dave Gahan but real experimental rock n roll and that was cool. And when they stopped, it was our turn to step in the ring. With the help of a fantastic DJ we unleashed the very first Gritian Movie, known under the Cryptic code name “A12G-BT59-33BX” so we were sure nobody would even guess the beginning of the start of what was in it. And that was very interesting to look at the people that were shared between dancing on the DJ sound, and trying to figure out what was all that about, why there were Gritos all over the world even if they were not at all aware of it!

In fact probably some of them realised that even if they thought they were living in the most “communication enabled” possible environment, they were completely unaware of the Gritian invasion, and that was really fun to observe. And in the meantime, some others were just enjoying the place, the music and that was also cool, it was  not a Cannes premiere – we were there last year, it was far less laid back –

And in fact that was quite cool to see the thing from the back of the room: the DJ was really like…an icon?

I mean, sometimes, you think the DJ does not deserve the public – for instance in Manchester or Brussels, I saw fantastic people in the room, putting the party on fire despite the lack of quality of the DJ sets – and sometimes, you just dream they play in front of a crowd that really wants to party, and that was the only sad point, the people should have gone mad and jumping all around and they just got dancing normally.  I took that occasion to have a drink with Psychogrito at the bar, while looking at the “Happen magazine” managers that were enjoying with the party, preventing people from going the wrong way…

And the party lasted…. Till the Gritos were tired and went to bed :-) but indeed that was really a cool night and, in the name of the Army of the 12 Gritos,  I want to thank the whole team of “Happen magazine” for offering us that participation. And we can tell you one thing: that gave us a lot ideas, and some of them…very fun J For instance I am very pleased to let you know there is an official Army of the 12 Gritos DVD, and also some cool sweat shirts ehehe! Hello!  I am so shocked and also a little bit proud and confused because I am looking at my MySpace inbox with La Fille Ska and we are finding....THIS!

HOW SHOCKING!

La Fille Ska has covered up some of the pink human skin for "public decency" and before my little eyes could see it all, but she is letting me put it on here because it is funny that a naughty lady like her (her name is Julia) should fall in love with a little Grito like me!

Hello everyone! It is me, little Brittonito here, reporting from the Bright Town in the England! I am sure you are all thinking that I have done a magic trick and vanished myself away for months and months! It is not quite this, but I have been gone for long time. Sad things happened to my Fille Ska and I watched her crying a lot until a lovely man called Tom came and dried the water that fell from her eyes and gave her lots of “calins” (this means to hold someone that you care about very tight in your arms and squeeze them until they are smiling again). He is a man with internet so now I am saved and I can write to you all again! I hear from la Fille Ska that things are going very wrong here on 20six and that the Army of the 12 Gritos may be ending as we know it, but I wanted to make as many bloggle entries before I lose my chance! First, I remind you where I am

No no, it is not St Tropez, it is the beach here at the ffice:smarttags" />Bright Town in the summer time!  I am posting this to remind us that the summer is coming back, because it is very cold here next to the big sea at the moment!

Ah!  But I have such things to tell you all!!  I have been “clubbing” with La Fille Ska and her friends:

“clubbing” is not where you hit people with big things, it is where people go and drink alcohol and dance to big loud fast musics!  It is great fun J

Best of all, I went in a car with my host and her Tom to this big place called Norwich.  La Ska tells me this is where she is living before she comes to Bright Town.  She has soent many happy years there, studying and working and partying.  This is also where her wonderful bloggle is starting, in 2003!

This is the big library called “The Forum” where the Slytherin Dorm was born!  Historic place!

This is the castle in Norwich.  I am thinking it is looking like a lego!  My host tells me that a Monty Python sketch was filmed there many years ago with knights jumping off the top!

The castle has pretty gardens – not as good as ones in Paris of course – and so we enjoyed some lunch there.  But it was very cold in Norwich, so I jumped into Tom’s coat!

Dear fellow readers,

it is with the uttermost pleasure that we can inform you that the Gritian Security Services have intercepted an ultra top secret communication of the NATO headquarters in Brussels to all their Very Secret Agents all over Europe. It seems they have finally detected us, and that they start to report Gritian Activity like the US did with Roswell in the fifties: in such a complicated way that even us sometimes we wonder if there is not another A12G, or maybe it is just ShadoGrito?

Anyway in the cryptic message was included a map of recent gritian Activities and I cannot resist the real pleasure to show this map to you:

Well, to summarize they have noticed Gritian Activities over the last 12 month in 27 European cities and 20 different countries: it is better than the bird flu, and I want to personnally thank all the Gritos over Europe who achieved that tremendous score.

In the same time, my thoughts go to all the Gritos whose European activity is still unnoticed and I can tell you one thing, now that they have started to track us, you will soon be heard! One point only really worries me, it seems that they do not even have noticed that we are present in the US, in Latin America, in China, Singapore, and so on ....but so far it is really good results, and as a core member of the Army of the 12 Gritos I clap my hands and I say "YEAH"!
