A thing for Laem Singh

Last Saturday, Pradito and I decided to explore the island. Legend has it Laem Singh is the most beautiful beach in Phuket so we set out towards the looming mountains behind which lies the west coast. We encountered some giant water buffalos on the way and tried to strike up a conversation but they scrambled for their lives. Pradito's "water buffalo" skills are even worse than mine. I think we said something in "Kobe Beef" that probably sounded to them like "We'll make steak out of your behinds!" Past the mountain, past Patong, past Kamala even, past a breath-taking winding sea-side road, we finally reached a little path leading down to a secluded strip of white sand.

As we exited the jungle, we were greeted by a Siamese baby who mistook us for pandas (as did everyone else) and attempted to pull Pradito's head off. Thank god that Prada scarf is one solid garment! We hid under a palm tree until his father peddled him to some foreigners. By then, we were famished.

While frying us some chicken in Thai herbs, the boys at Alax restaurant told us how Allah had saved them from the tsunami last December. I found these boys very very nice and friendly. Pradito thinks I have a thing for human Asian boys. I'm not sure what he means by that. On the way back, we stopped for good luck at the Temple of Nawak where tradition is to honk your horn as you drive by to scare off evil spirits. I think Pradito did not fully grasp this as he honked at the pretty girls driving by instead. Maybe that is what it means to have "a thing" for someone.

Well sounds like you had a good time anyway, even if you were under threat of getting your heads pulled off.

Beautiful! And the humans aren't bad as well ;o)

Fantastic journey in resonant lands... Let smiles glow with the time, and may Gritos help. ;o)

I'll honk for you boys even if I don't drive by a temple! Then again, the Swegrito has never been one to discriminate.
Did you not catch any rum-filled coconuts on that blindingly white beach? (Bc both of you do look sort of confused, I worry about your alcohol-level!)

Ah, Siamito! It must be nice to have Pradito close by. It has been such a long time since I had the pleasure of being in the presence of another Gritian. SO long ago in fact that I think I am getting very homesick indeed! (

What a wonderful story, I mean these tahi lands seems to be very cool indeed!!! And I gues ypou two had a lot of fun, even more than what you tell us... I mean, I know you both , there surely is a little bit more to tell than that perfectly kind story..I Love that !
